Once the contractor came to the racquetball courts in this total lighting retrofit for Club One, he was stumped. Linear fluorescent lamps don't fit well inside a recessed 2x2. The DAS Lighting solution was to replace the old green/blue 400-watt metal halide lamps with a new 200-watt AES NexLume 5000k Orbis system.

Each fixture was reduced by over 250 watts. The light quality reduced lens surface brightness and evenness of the light distribution, satisfying the most skilled of players.  Club One now has the additional benefit of controlling their courts with motion sensors.

Since the NexLume induction is instant "on", the courts don't need to be turned on during the start of business. This is another example of the ultimate in energy savings and sustainability.
